.....You find yourself careening through the empty reaches of space in an experimental space fighter. Enemy ships approach from the distance brandishing a "kill or be killed" mindset. They fire a volley of attacks in your general direction but your skills as a pilot prove that you're no easy prey. You dodge the variety of attacks as though you had already seen the future and return fire. Their debris makes for interesting fireworks. The power cells of their ships fly towards your own and merge with its core, increasing your power.
.....As you make your way forward, the former battlegrounds of a galactic war make its way into your sights. Large broken chunks of battle cruisers and other various ships find themselves directly in your flight path. These pieces are far too large and numerous to make your way around even with your skill but you're not out of options yet.
.....It may only be out for testing, but you're flying Spatial Flux. To pilot Spatial Flux means to be in control of the immediate space around you. With the push of a button, space suddenly shifts. A large impassable object may be in your way, one minute, but after the shift, it's completely off to the side and no longer a threat.
.....You continue ahead fighting off various enemies and dodging a plethora of objects as though this were a training exercise. Just as you're beginning to pull away from the last of your troubles, a large enemy vessel makes its way towards you. If you were in a normal space fighter you might break a sweat, but Spatial Flux isn't exactly a push over. You dodge in and out of its fire patterns while returning shots of your own.
.....The shielding on your enemy's ship is protecting it surprisingly well against your attacks. If you want to have any chance of survival you'll need to find its weak point. Once again, you bend space around you and take control of a different perspective. Here, you can see the core of the enemy vessel exposed in all its weakness. You focus your shots on the enemy's core and the entire ship goes up in a blaze of energy. You take a few breaths before you fly off to the next challenge.
Perspective
Shifting is one of the current trends in the independent gaming market.
It involves the moving of the player's view in such a way that it changes
the basic layout of the game world. In this changed perspective, the player
can interact with the world in a different way. A great example of this
is Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo WII. Here's
an example of perspective shift in action. You can see it in action 40 seconds
